Design and Construction of Hybrid Autonomous Underwater Glider for Underwater Research

The main goal of this paper was to design and construct a hybrid autonomous underwater glider (HAUG) with torpedo shape, size 230 cm in length 24 diameter. control, navigation, guidance system were executed simultaneously using Udoo X86 minicomputer as the server three BeagleBone Black single-board computers clients. simulations showed controlled horizontal speed 0.5 m/s AUV mode 0.39 0.51 glide pitch angle between 14.13? 26.89?. In addition, field experiments under limited space proposed HAUG had comparable results simulation, 1 around 0.2 m/s.
